CENTRAL OFFICES -- Welcome to The NJS.com Audio Spotlight.
Joining us today is Ramapo boys soccer coach Evan Baumgarten,
whose second-seeded team was scheduled to play
top-seeded and defending Don Bosco Prep in the Bergen County Tournament
final on Sunday. Those plans were changed when a car accident
in which numerous Bosco players were involved, forced a cancellation.
The players that were taken to the hospital have all, thankfully,
been released, but the county final is now in limbo.
After
losing in the Non-Public North A state sectional playoffs, Don
Bosco has no other games left on its schedule. Ramapo will play
in the North 1, Group 3 state sectional semifinals on Monday,
which made a moving the county final to Sunday impossible and
if the Raiders advance a weekday reschedule is also impossible.
No make up plans have been announced and Baumgarten is taking
a wait-and-see approach, which you can hear in the above Audio
Spotlight.
